How can I clean the jets in a whirlpool bathtub?
We have a bathtub that has whirlpool jets inside. We haven't used the jets in a long time and they're due for a cleaning. Anyone have any suggestions on what I can do to get all the junk out from inside?

- run the tub with hot water and bleach.. they also sell special cleaners, but their main ingredient is bleach.. after you run the jets , use inexpensive pipe cleaner s on /in jets to loosen gunk.. good luck.
- Fill up the tub (with all hot water) and add a cup or two of bleach to it, then turn on the jets and let it run. That should kill and nasties that are living up in there. Just drain it and repeat this a few times after without bleach to get it all out of the plumbing.
- Bleach takes a little long but works good, we use Grease lighting it seems to break down the crud a little quicker and without the harmful smell. We put two cups to a full tub of hot water.
- EASY!!! Fill the tub with soapy water and run the jets. If you live in an area with hard water, you may want to add vinegar to the water too.
- I put in a pound of Epsom salts for about twenty minutes and then flush folowed with a little Dawn soap and bleach, then flush again.
