When my pool filter is set to filter air blows out one of the jets?
Trying to open the swimming pool. We filled the basket with water and set the filter to backwash, rinse, and then filter. When it got to filter, it only blew air out one of the 2 jets. What's going on? It doesn't look like any water is running through the plastic window of the pump. Is it possible I have a leak in the pipes? How can I tell?

- First make sure the pool is full of water. If the watery level is not high to fill the skinners, then you get no water to the pump. Sounds like you pump has lost it's prime. Take the cover off the strainer basket by the pump, make sure there are no leaves in the chamber, (be sure to check where the chamber actually drains into the pump) and fill the chamber with water. Then replace the cover while making sure the cover has a good gasket and that it makes a good seal. Turn on the pump and let it run 1-2 minutes. You might need to try this 4-5 times. If none of this works, you either have a leak in the pump seal, the chamber that holds the basket by the pump, or in a line running from the pool to the pump. This leak is letting the pump pull in air instead of water. Good luck.
