Connecting flight and passport control question?
I will be flying from the US to Amsterdam with a connecting flight in London. I've not traveled much and I don't know much about these things but I was wondering if I will have to go through passport control in London?

- only if you have to deplane AND you leave the terminal area. If you deplane and DON'T leave the terminal area, no, you don't.
- More than likely not. You are not entering England, just passing through. I went to the Phillipines from the US and connected in Tokyo. I just changed planes and did not have to go through passport control when I did. If you still have questions, the best thing to do is to call your airline and ask them.
- is the connecting flight leaving from the same terminal? if it is the you wont have too if you arrive at say terminal 1 and the need to go to terminal three then yes you will also make sure that the airline books your luggage allthe way otherwise you will have to collect it in london
